Trends in PM

It’s exciting to think about what global trends and technological changes are out there and how they will impact our profession and the potential for advancements and improvements in our ability to complete SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS.

Project management is positioned to be a perfect vehicle to turn an organizations’ strategy into tangible results. And, truly effective organizations will make sure their project and program managers have the right skills to drive and navigate change in a fast-paced environment. In [PMI] Pulse of the Profession 2020 (2020), it reinforces that leaders must be sure to take a strategic approach to incorporating newer approaches, and they need to prioritize developing a culture that values project management by supporting pursuit of certification and nurturing leadership and people skills in order to meet the project demands of tomorrow. Not only is this important to me because that is the purpose of my business, but I truly believe this is a great profession and one where those holding the role are able to make an impact within their organization and/or build for themselves a bridge to a management level position. You spend so much of your life at work, it’s important to see the value in what you are doing!

Today if you want to be considered at the top of the project management field, it is essential to be PMP certified. It demonstrates your commitment to your career choice as well as signifies your experience level and ability to understand the project management body of knowledge.

Also increased awareness and demand for PMP’s (Certified Project Management Professionals) has helped standardize project management education around the globe.
